Penny Palette

Notes, updates & ideas for freelance Makeup Artists

Welcome to the very first Penny Palette post. đź‘‹

Penny Palette is a simple gig organizer made for freelance makeup artists who want one place to keep track of their work—without turning their business into another full-time job.

It’s for the artist who has bookings in one place, client details somewhere else, notes on their phone, and a wedding-day schedule hiding in a screenshot from three weeks ago.

Penny Palette brings those pieces together.

What is Penny Palette?

At its core, Penny Palette is an app for organizing your gigs.

You can keep track of your clients and bookings, organize events and services, and build a day-of timeline so you know what needs to happen and when.

The idea is simple: less admin, more artistry.

Penny Palette isn’t trying to replace every tool you already use. It’s meant to give the actual work surrounding your gigs a home—from the moment a client books to the day you pack your kit and head out the door.

Who is it for?

Penny Palette is being built especially for solo and freelance makeup artists—particularly those currently keeping things together with spreadsheets, calendars, notes, texts, and a little bit of memory.

If your current system works but feels scattered, Penny Palette is for you.

We’re just getting started.

Penny Palette is still growing.

The first version focuses on the basics: bookings, clients, events, and your day-of schedule. There are more ideas on the roadmap, including integrations with tools artists already use.

But the goal isn’t to add features just for the sake of having more features.

It’s to make running your gigs a little easier.

This blog will be where we share what’s new, what we’re working on, and some of the thinking behind Penny Palette as it evolves.

Thanks for being here at the beginning.

Welcome to Penny Palette.
Your gig organizer.
